Overview:
A public research university in London, England is called London Metropolitan University (often referred to as London Met). In order to construct the University of North London, which was originally known as the Polytechnic of North London, London Guildhall University and the City of London Polytechnic amalgamated in 2002. The University was founded in 1848.
The university has locations in the London Borough of Islington and the City of London, as well as a museum, archives, and libraries. The TUC Library, the Irish Studies Collection, and the Frederick Parker Collection are examples of special collections. In Holloway, Aldgate, and Shoreditch, it presently has three locations. The university’s current rating in the Complete University Guide increased from 131 in 2019 by 8 spots. In their list of the top universities in the UK for 2023, The Guardian, another significant UK magazine, ranked London Metropolitan University at position 104. The university’s ranking with The Guardian has declined from 87 in 2022 by 17 spots. The QS Ranking for London Metropolitan University fell from 751–800 in 2019 to 801–1000 in 2023. It shows that the university still has to improve on key QS metrics such faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty member, and academic reputation.
