City University is situated in the heart of three cities—Kuala Lumpur, Petaling Jaya, and Shah Alam—that have seen rapid growth. At the campuses in Petaling Jaya and Kota Damansara, students may take advantage of cutting-edge facilities and a fast-paced urban lifestyle. Since its founding in 1984, the university college has been around. Petaling Jaya Community College (PJCC) was its previous name. After being bought by the Selia Group in 1998, it changed its name to Unity College International (UCI). Later, City University received recognition as a university college.
The development of City University as a thriving educational and cultural institution has gone hand in hand with the government’s goal of making Malaysia a regional hub for top-notch education. According to the most recent Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education SETARA-2019 evaluation, City University was rated a Very Good (4-Star) University. The University was placed 13th among private ASEAN institutions for practical higher education in 2022, in line with its industrial focus.
