Overview:
Capilano University (CapU) is a teaching-focused public university based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, nestled in a natural forested setting on the slopes of the North Shore Mountains, with programming that also serves the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and the Sunshine Coast. As part of the institution’s dedication to international education, Capilano University provides collaborative partnerships and initiatives. In addition to post-graduate programs and joint ventures with several foreign universities, it offers dual degrees. More than 250 scholarships and bursaries are offered by the university to new and returning students. The Capilano Students’ Union (CSU) is open to all Capilano University students enrolled in credit-bearing courses. The Capilano University resident student society, or CSU, promotes the interests of students while also addressing the needs of the college and local community. The CSU’s mission, like that of other student organizations in British Columbia, is to support students and offer programs and services that enhance the student experience. The athletic teams of Capilano University, known as The Blues, have captured 59 Pacific Western Athletic Association provincial championships and 14 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association provincial championships.

Accessibility: The Birch building’s opposite neighbor, the Centre for Sport and Wellness, is accessible from the side and back of the building through ramps and ground level. There is one single stall bathroom and accessible restrooms in the building.
Locker rentals: The Centre for Sport and Wellness offers rental lockers. Each locker has a combination lock and costs $20 for small lockers and $30 for big lockers each term. VISA, MasterCard, American Express, debit, and cash are all acceptable forms of payment. Lockers are only accessible during facility operating hours.
Lillooet Park: One of the best soccer grounds on the North Shore is used by Capilano University. Blues sports camps, intramural soccer, ultimate, and Blues action all take place at Lillooet Park.
Fitness: For students and employees who wish to work out in the gym, the Centre for Sport and Wellness at our North Vancouver campus provides a variety of possibilities. The CapURec team manages the Centre for Sport and Wellness, which is situated across from the Birch building. The gym is also free for professors, employees, and students, which is the finest part.
Childcare Centre: The Children’s Centre is a daycare facility run by Capilano University that is non-profit and has a provincial government license. For a maximum of 69 children from birth to kindergarten, our dedicated and experienced early childhood educators work with the kids to offer rich early learning experiences.
