Overview:
Degree-awarding authority was originally granted to BPP in 2007; in 2020, it was extended indefinitely. BPP University College of Professional Studies was given the designation of university on August 8, 2013, and changed its name to BPP University. In November of same year, BPP received the title of “Higher/Professional Education Provider of the Year 2013” from the Education Investor magazine. The University and College Union expressed its disapproval of the August 2013 decision to award BPP university status in an open letter. The interests of BPP students as well as the international credibility of the UK university title are at risk, the union wrote in a letter to then UK Business Secretary Vince Cable in March of the previous year, pleading with him to suspend BPP’s application for university status while an investigation into its relationship with its parent companies is conducted.
They have offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Whitehall Quay, Bristo, and Abingdon (near Oxford) in addition to locations around London, including London City, London Holborn, London Shepherd’s Bush, and London Waterloo. In the 2019 QS World University Rankings, it is placed 142nd overall, narrowly ahead of Baqiyatallah University and Republic Polytechnic University. Additionally, QS ranked their degrees on a global scale while considering a number of variables, including educational quality and institution repute.
