University Canada West (UCW), a private, for-profit institution of higher learning, sits in the heart of the sprawling metropolis of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. David F. Strong, a former president of the University of Victoria, launched it in 2005. The Eminata Group bought UCW in 2008, then in 2014 it was sold to its current owners, Global University Systems. The institution, which has its headquarters in downtown Vancouver, provides undergraduate and graduate degrees in business and management.
