The Swinburne University of Technology, usually known as Swinburne, is a public research institution with its headquarters in Melbourne, Australia. Its main campus is located in the Hawthorn neighborhood, 7.5 kilometers from Melbourne’s CBD.
In addition to its main school in Hawthorn, it also has campuses in Malaysia’s Sarawak, Wantirna and Croydon in the Melbourne metropolitan region, and Parramatta (close to Sydney). The university’s online division, Swinburne Online, was founded in 2011. Based on applicants’ prior academic records and grades, this 115-year-old Australian higher education school maintains a stringent admissions procedure. This Australian higher education school is somewhat selective with an acceptance rate range of 70–79%. The application process is open to candidates from abroad.
