Overview: 

Private Catholic research university DePaul University is located in Chicago, Illinois. The institution was named after the French priest Saint Vincent de Paul, who lived in the 17th century, and was founded by the Vincentians in 1898. It surpassed all other Catholic universities in North America in terms of enrolment in 1998. DePaul places a strong focus on hiring first-generation college students and those from underprivileged backgrounds, following in the footsteps of its founders. 

Lincoln Park and the Loop serve as the locations of DePaul’s two campuses. The Colleges of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Science and Health, and Education are located on the Lincoln Park campus. The John T. Richardson Library, the Theater School, and the School of Music are all located there. The College of Communication, Computing and Digital Media, the College of Law, the School of Public Service, and the School for New Learning are all located on the Loop campus. The Kellstadt Graduate School of Business is located there as well. The Rinn Law Library, the Student Center, and the Loop Library are all located on the Loop campus. The DePaul Blue Demons, DePaul’s collegiate sporting teams, participate in the Big East Conference. The men’s basketball team at DePaul has participated in two Final Fours and 18 NCAA tournament games. Under head coach Tracie Adix-Zins, the DePaul softball team won its third straight Big East Tournament championship and made its 21st NCAA Tournament trip in 2019.

Library: The library at DePaul University has two locations.
