Nilai University

Overview:

Nilai University is a private university that was founded in 1997. The institution, which was formerly known as Nilai College, was upgraded to “university college” status in 2008 before being granted full university status in 2012. It is situated in a tranquil, green campus (105 acres), in the picture-perfect suburb of Putra Nilai, and has earned multiple state and national landscape awards, emphasizing the campus’ natural attractiveness. Modern township Putra Nilai is ideally situated 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 40 minutes from the city’s center. It is surrounded by greenery, yet it is also close to a lot of conveniences like banks, restaurants, and convenience stores.

Lecture Theatres: The institution features two 250-seater lecture rooms and two 150-seater halls, each with air conditioning and the most modern teaching amenities.

Auditoriums: Two 200-seat auditoriums are available for use by students for meetings, seminars, and presentations.

Classrooms: With an average lecturer to student ratio of 1:25, Nilai University’s classrooms and tutorial rooms are air-conditioned, AV-equipped, and designed to provide individualized attention.

Accessible study spaces: You can complete your homework in these air-conditioned rooms while you wait between lectures. This location has electricity outlets and is a Wi-Fi hotspot, so you may use your laptop here.

Library: The 1,600m2 library, which takes up the entire fifth floor of our Resource Center, is possibly the best location on campus to take in the surrounding lush greenery. It is a complete research and study facility with access to the top online resources as well as a large collection of books, magazines, and journal articles. There is also access to the internet.

Language and Multimedia Laboratories: The most up-to-date language learning tools and other necessary audio-visual tools are available in the multimedia and language labs.

Hospitality Building: The on-campus Hospitality Building is where hospitality students receive practical training in cutting-edge settings that are comparable to luxury hotels. With Western, Asian, Cold, Pastry, and Bakery kitchens, a 100-seat training restaurant, a bar, a 5-star imitation hotel room, and a front desk reception, we have the best hospitality training facilities in the business.

Indoor Sports Complex (Game Courts and Gym): A well-equipped gymnasium and indoor courts are located in the President Hall, a building designed specifically for sports. Classes in dance, yoga, aerobics, and other extracurricular activities are also held in the hall. In addition to this, it acts as a location for events like Talent Nights, Dance and Drama competitions, and many more.

Outdoor Sport Areas: The 105-acre campus of Nilai University is home to various outdoor tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball, etc. courts. There are also plenty of lawns where you can play Frisbee or any other sport you like. Some of the most recent additions to the list of game facilities on campus include street soccer and cricket.

Lakeside Jogging Track: One of the few colleges with a jogging path beside a lake is Nilai University. It’s the ideal location for a barbecue and activities.

Swimming and golf: Which other school offers an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a 27-hole golf course? Enjoy these amenities at the nearby Nilai Springs Golf & Country Club, a sister organization of Nilai University, which is only a 5-minute drive away. (Free shuttle service is available.

Food Court: Food is never an issue on campus. Our 1,000-seat food court serves breakfast, lunch, and even late-night snacks. Here, you may get a wide variety of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and Western foods at fair prices.

Cafeteria: A hip and contemporary cafe that offers a selection of pastries, cakes, breads, and sandwiches. It’s a well-liked spot to unwind after a long day of courses by playing pool or foosball and watching MTV.

Shuttle Bus Service: Daily service schedule to popular student locations such the off-campus housing, Nilai Springs Golf and Country Club, and the Komuter (train) station.

How to Apply:

Step 1: Application procedure

  • Submit your application 3 months before the intake you intend to enroll in.

  • This is to help us facilitate the visa application for your student visa.

Step 2: Complete and Submit the Necessary Documents

  • A completed Application Form.

  • A completed Accommodation Form.

  • TWO (2) sets of photocopies of your Passport with a minimum validity of 2 years (Personal particulars and all pages).

  • Copy of your Secondary or Secondary Vocational School results & Graduation Certificate (including translated copies in English if the original documents are NOT in English)

  • 8 most recent passport-sized photographs (white background only) measuring 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm. The size of the photograph MUST be exact.

  • A completed Health Declaration Form.

  • Original copy of No Objection Certificate (NOC) or Eligibility Letter (LOC)(for countries such as Iran, Sudan and Oman).

  • Original copy of Affidavit for the name / date of birth (DOB) (if name indicate in academic results/ or any other documents are different from the name in the passport).

Step 3: Send all the documents & payment Details

NOTE: Upon receipt of the above, we will process your application. Within TWO (2) weeks, you will receive an email from Nilai University containing the following documents:

The Letter of Offer:

Information of your program that you have applied for, intake date & admission/registration information will all be included in the letter.

Confirmation of Acceptance:

To be signed and returned to the University to acknowledge your acceptance of the offer and of the terms & conditions stated.

Receipt:

A receipt of your initial payments will be included. Please contact us immediately if you do not receive a receipt with the pack.

Step 4: Visa Submission Process

  • Your student Visa Approval Letter will be subsequently processed – including submission to the Ministry of Higher Education and the Immigration Department via the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS). Successful applicants will receive the Visa Approval Letter within SIX to EIGHT weeks.

  • Students are required to apply for a Single-Entry Visa and endorse the Visa Approval Letter received at the nearest Malaysian Embassy/ Consulate/ High Commission before proceeding to travel to Malaysia or risk deportation.

Step 5: First Payment to the University

  • You are required to make the FULL payment as stated in your Pro Forma invoice included with your Letter of Offer before your arrival to Malaysia. Payments can be made via the Telegraphic Transfer.

  • Your original Visa Approval Letter (once received by the University) will be email to you once we have confirmation of your payment.

Step 6: Prepare to move and arrival to Malaysia

  • With the Visa Approval Letter, you may endorse a Single-Entry Visa onto your passport at the Malaysian Embassy/Consulate in your country. Please bring along your Offer Letter, the Visa Approval Letter and your passport when you do your visa endorsement. When this is done, you’re all set to fly!

  • Please do not change your passport once you have received the Visa Approval Letter (VAL) from Immigration Department of Malaysia to avoid unforeseen circumstances.

  • You must then inform Nilai University’s International Office of your flight details FIVE (5) working days before your date of departure. Representatives from Nilai University will greet you at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

  • Students will only be allowed entry (by the Malaysian Immigration) into Malaysia in the presence of a Nilai University representative.

Step 7: Multiple Entry visa and student pass application

  • Post-arrival Medical Examination will be conducted within 2 working days upon your arrival.

  • You will need to surrender your passport to the International Office once your medical examination is successful. Our International Office will assist you in applying to the Malaysian State Immigration for your Multiple Entry Visa and Student Pass.
